Samy’s Camera on Fairfax is the first to show off the new Phase IQ180 in Los Angeles. If you missed it today on the 4th floor, try again tomorrow. A little birdie told me that it might be floating around again. It will also be at the Samy’s booth at WPPI in Vegas next week. Otherwise, watch the schedule for a March 16th Phase event.

Announcing SamysFlashMob

Announcing Samy’s Flash Mob

Follow SamysFlashMob on twitter and be part of very cool last minute photo events. Yes we know the term flash in flashmob usually implies spontaneous or quick “in a Flash” get togethers but in this case we’re taking liberties and using the dual meaning for photography centric gatherings.

What’s in it for you to follow SamysFlashMob on twitter? Well, sometimes we will want to test out a cool new workshop before we put it on the schedule. Or we might realize that an amazing event is occurring that photographers would want to be part of. Occasionally there might be a seat left in a popular class when someone drops out at the last minute. We will use the SamysFlashMob twitter account to offer that seat to one of our followers at 1/2 price.

Other times we might find out that an in demand photographer or cinematographer is in town and available for a meetup or get together and it’s too late to schedule it through the normal channels.

I suspect that we might also be able to offer special very short term deals with a price that we couldn’t advertise.

It’s free to follow SamysFlashMob so don’t miss the opportunity to be part of some very interesting happenings with a group of like minded people interested in photography – http://twitter.com/samysflashmob
