Weekly Roundup 5/16-5/22

This weekend at Samy’s EDU we have some really great workshops to help kick off the summer starting with the Leica M9 Street Photography Workshop Saturday and Sunday.  Explore the rich heritage of using Leica rangefinders and find out for yourself why so many of the worlds iconic images were created using Leica’s. Whether you are wanting to sharpen your street photography skills or just get your hands on an M9, this workshop is for you.  All participants will be furnished with a state of the art Leica M9 for the shooting portion of this event.  Seating is limited so hurry and register here.

Also on Saturday is Hernan’s Field Trip to The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum.  The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum is an unforgettable place rich with textures, colours, relics, abandoned vehicles and expansive landscapes.
Come develop your knowledge of the three C’s: colour, composition and close-up. Hernan, an accomplished and award-winning photographer and Mike Monesis, Samy’s Canon Representative will help you hone your artistic senses along with teaching techniques such as depth-of-field, macro photography, exposure, etc. in a fun and easy-to-grasp style. The day will start at a wonderful setting with vibrant colours where Hernan will demonstrate techniques to be practiced throughout the field trip.

At the Samy’s Santa Ana this weekend Joe & Mirta Barnet are teaching two workshops
